Aldana Ferrer Garcia’s window module offers ‘more sky’ to city dwellers.

Among the host of creative initiatives presented at the inaugural dubai design week, the ‘global grad show’ is a truly unprecedented platform to see the most innovative projects from the world’s leading design schools under one roof.the expansive exhibition, curated by brendan mcgetrick, is housed within the dubai design district, spotlighting 50 projects from 10 universities under 6 themes: construction, health, home, memory, play and work.

Inspired while on a picnic with friends, Korean designer Yeongkeun Jeong conceived the idea for Butter! Better! after forgetting to bring a knife along. A simple yet brilliant idea, Yeongkeun tells Designboom that he wanted the product to “satisfy people both sentimentally and emotionally” because he believes eating is “not just a behaviour to achieve satiety, but involves all the senses”.
