Inspired while on a picnic with friends, Korean designer Yeongkeun Jeong conceived the idea for Butter! Better! after forgetting to bring a knife along. A simple yet brilliant idea, Yeongkeun tells Designboom that he wanted the product to “satisfy people both sentimentally and emotionally” because he believes eating is “not just a behaviour to achieve satiety, but involves all the senses”.

Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian has designed ‘rocky’, a credenza featuring well-defined angular and sculptural lines. kalpakian created a 3D variation of a classic pattern used by cabinet makers; playing with perceptions of space and volume that reveals itself and changes according to the observer’s point of view. made of steel, the coating of the shelves has a slightly textured touch and  comes in three different colors – black, blue or aluminum grey. check out the middle eastern collection by charles kalpakian here.
